Creative Resins Distribution are pleased to announce the forthcoming A Glaze specially blended for Carbon Fibre. Carbon Fibre,particularly in an unlacquered state,is extremely susceptible to UV damage from the sun. This can show up in the form of yellowing of the area at first,but then chalking and flaking of the clear coat will commence which eventually leads to damage of the individual fibres themselves,thus weakening the structure. This is a problem whenever Carbon Fibre is exposed to sunlight. A Glaze 5.4c has been designed specifically to protect both lacquered and unlacquered carbon fibre from the damage caused by UV. This new formula contains more than 10 times the amount of light stabilizing compounds compared to our existing formulas. Reapplied annually it can almost completely stop the accelerated aging caused to Carbon Fibre by the sun. Samples will be sent out for the normal write ups in due course and will be available soon.
